Podcast #40-17 Becca Gregory- Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Becca Gregory (in her own words): In both my full-time and part-time jobs, I have been lucky enough to incorporate my true passion, indoor cycling.  I work full-time for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as a Campaign Specialist.  My main event is the Race to Anyplace (a six-hour indoor cycling race), which takes place at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh on February 17, 2018.  I also work on Over the Edge (our new rappelling event being held on September 29, 2017 at the Koppers Building in downtown Pittsburgh); Light the Night (4 regional night walks around the Western PA and West Virginia region); and Charity Runners for the Pittsburgh Marathon.  I also teach indoor cycling classes at Cycletique in Bethel Park.

Podcast #35-17 LumberjAxes- Jack Welsh

LumberjAxes (in their own words): is Pittsburgh’s first competitive axe-throwing venue. Yes, competitive axe-throwing is a thing. It’s huge in Canada. At our rustic warehouse in Millvale, adults of all skill levels can try their hand at it. You and your friends, coworkers, wedding party, or knitting club get a lane and take turns throwing at a target. It’s sort of like bowling, but without the silly shoes. And with way more axes.  Our expert staff aims to provide the ultimate axe-throwing experience for walk-ins, private parties, team-building events, and leagues. We’re serious about customer service, so you can focus on having some serious fun. So round up a crew, take aim, and let ’er rip.
The soft opening for the axe-throwing venue is scheduled for August 18, 2017.  For more information about LumberjAxes, go to www.axethrowingpgh.com.  We interviewed Jack Welsh, one of the three partners behind LumberjAxes.  The other partners are Matt Peyton and Corey Deasy.
